Sheep Art by Forme d'Arte

9 Fin da piccolo sono stato abituato ad apprezzare l’arte. La casa di mio padre è sempre stata un porto di mare per pittori e scultori; è naturale appassionar- si ad una cosa quando la respiri continuamente. Crescendo, il lavoro mi ha portato a occuparmi di buon cibo e soprattutto di formaggio, prodotto ricco di storia. L’arte antica di fare formaggi, quin- di, per me non poteva che sposarsi con la forma d’arte per eccellenza: la pittura. Da questa idea e dall’amicizia intessuta negli anni con un gruppo di artisti fra i più importanti della pittura contemporanea, tutti legati alla Toscana, per nascita o per “adozione”, si concretizza il mio sogno: Forme d’Arte , una piccola produzione di formaggi particolari, unici per gusto e immagine. Dopo quasi 20 anni di degustazioni e presentazio- ni dei miei formaggi nei vernissage delle mostre di pittura degli amici artisti, ho deciso di fare qual- cosa che rendesse omaggio a tutto quello che mi hanno permesso di fare in questi anni, che parlas- se di loro e del loro lavoro artistico. Mi sono confrontato con Fabio Calvetti, amico e consigliere da sempre, ed è nato il progetto: “un gregge di opere” da portare in giro per il mondo. A questo punto mancava solo un importante cu- ratore sensibile al tema e professionalmente pre- parato che portasse avanti l’idea trasformandola in realtà. Quando ho chiesto a Filippo Lotti di fare “da pa- store” al mio gregge, il suo entusiasmo è stato coinvolgente: ha selezionato e contattato altri ar- tisti oltre a quelli già di casa a Forme d’Arte , ha spiegato loro il progetto che ha arricchito ancora di più aprendolo a fotografi che hanno interpreta- to al meglio le opere e i pittori. Adesso… il “gregge” è pronto!!! E prima di iniziare questa transumanza non mi re- sta che dire grazie a tutti gli artisti e un grazie spe- ciale a Filippo per l’impegno e la professionalità che ha messo in questa originale iniziativa. Paolo Piacenti Forme d’Arte Forme d’Arte From an early age I was used to appreciating art. My father’s house has always been a place who painters and sculptors attended; it is natural to be passionate about something when you breathe it continuously. Growing up, the work led me to take care of good food and above all cheese, a product rich in his- tory. The ancient art of making cheese, therefore, for me could only marry with the art form for excel- lence: the painting. From this idea and from friendship gained over the years with a group of artists among the most important of contemporary painting, all related to Tuscany, by birth or by “adoption”, my dream came true: Forme d’Arte , a small production of particular cheeses, unique for taste and image. After almost 20 years of tastings and presen- tations of my cheeses in the vernissages of the painting exhibitions of the artist friends, I decided to do something that would pay homage to all that they allowed me to do in these years, that would talk about them and their work artistic. I met Fabio Calvetti, a longtime and trusted friend, and the project was born: “flock of art’s work” to be carried around the world. At this point we needed only one important cura- tor who was sensitive to the this theme and was professionally prepared to take the idea forward and transform it into reality. When I asked Filippo Lotti to be the “shepherd” of my flock, his enthusiasm was explosive and over- whelmed me. He chose and contacted other art- ists in addition to those already at home in Forme d’Arte , he explained the project and enriched it even more by involving photographers who have interpreted the artworks and then painters adher- ing to this idea. Now... the “flock” is ready !!! And before starting this transhumance I can only give thanks to all the artists and a special thanks to Filippo for the commitment and professional- ism that he put in this original initiative.
